Peter Lawless

Peter has been coaching athletics since 1998 and has coached athletes at all levels from entry to sport to the Paralympic Games. Peter has been a Coach with the Canadian National Team at various events including at multiple World Championships. He also spent many years as the Head Coach of the BC Provincial Team attending both the Canada Summer Games and the Western Canada Summer Games. Peter is one of the first (and only) wheelchair athletics coaches to ever be certified at Level 4 of the National Coaching Certification Program.

In addition to Athletics Peter is also active in coaching Para-cycling at the elite level. Among his athletes is 2010 World Championship Bronze Medalist Mark Ledo who was previously coached by Peter as a member of the National Para-Athletics Team from 2005-2010.

Peter is also a Director of Coaches of Canada (the national association of professional coaches), the Coaches Association of BC and the Pacific Institute of Sports Excellence.
